Asst. Prof. Xianbiao Fu Receives the 2026 ISE–Elsevier Prize for Green Electrochemistry

Asst. Prof. Fu has been awarded the 2026 ISE–Elsevier Prize for Green Electrochemistry by the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE). The official award citation reads:

"For pioneering work on the continuous-flow electrochemical ammonia synthesis using hydrogen as a sustainable proton source, therefore addressing limitations associated with sacrificial reagents, reactor operation, selectivity, and stability. Dr. Xianbiao Fu’s work combines scientific originality with clear applications to decarbonise and decentralise ammonia production using renewable electricity."

Asst. Prof. Xianbiao Fu Appointed as a Principal Investigator at NUS GRTII

Asst. Prof. Xianbiao Fu has been appointed as a Principal Investigator at the National University of Singapore Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (NUS GRTII) for a five-year term. Through this appointment, our group looks forward to strengthening research collaboration between Singapore and Guangzhou and advancing research translation and industrial innovation in sustainable electrochemistry and energy technologies.

Asst. Prof. Xianbiao Fu Awarded Dream Chemistry Award Top 5 Prize!

Dr. Fu has been awarded the Dream Chemistry Award Top 5 Prize in the 2025 competition. The Dream Chemistry Award was established in 2013 by the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IOCB Prague) and the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IPC PAS). It recognizes exceptional young scientists with bold, forward-looking research visions in chemistry. The 2025 finals were held in Prague on 1 December 2025, where Dr. Fu presented his research concept alongside other outstanding finalists. Congratulations to Dr. Fu on this international recognition!

Asst. Prof. Xianbiao Fu Joins CHCI as a Principal Investigator

Asst. Prof. Xianbiao Fu has joined the NUS Centre for Hydrogen and Carbon Innovations (CHCI) as a Principal Investigator (PI). His research on sustainable ammonia synthesis and utilisation will contribute to the Centre’s efforts in advancing low-carbon hydrogen technologies. We look forward to new collaborations and exciting research ahead!

Assistant Professor Xianbiao Fu was invited to attend the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (Chemistry), held in Lindau, Germany, from June 29 to July 4, 2025. The Lindau Meeting is one of the most prestigious global platforms for scientific dialogue, bringing together Nobel Laureates and exceptional young scientists from around the world.

This experience reflects Prof. Fu's dedication to advancing scientific innovation and international collaboration in the field of electrocatalysis and sustainable energy.
